Miharu Ozawa had a breakthrough year in 2025 at age 16, securing the overall UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup with her win at the Sakai, Japan event after also taking World Cup podiums in Montpellier, France and Shanghai, China. The 2025 Bloom BMX Park Rider Of The Year winner will make her X Games debut in 2026, slated to compete in Women’s BMX Park in Osaka, Japan; Sacramento, California; and New Orleans, Louisiana. She comes from a family full of BMX talent, inspired to start riding by her older brother Kaede and already helping mentor her younger sister Misaki and younger brother Haruma, with two other sisters also getting into it.
